AutoCrit Software for Editing Indie Published Works

AutoCrit is an online editing tool I plan to use for my writing and indie publishing, and David Bricker’s Writer’s Software Review: AutoCrit Rocks blog post explains my reasons far more eloquently than I can. I like what I’ve read so far, but haven’t had a chance to try it yet and Dave Bricker gives a far more detailed review than I can at this moment. You can also try out the software for free on the AutoCrit website which I plan to do when I get my manuscript prepared.

Dark Matter for a Science Fiction Story Idea

This is another inspiring science fiction story idea according to Daily Galaxy “Dark Matter May be ‘Another Dimension’ –Or Even a Major Galactic Transport System”.  I figure that even it the idea of Dark Matter as a way to travel space has been used in the movie Interstellar. Why not use it for a science fiction story idea if it is a legitimate science theory?

Science Fiction Story Ideas

I find an article The Universe is a ‘Complexity Machine’ –“Intelligent Life and Technology May be Common in the Cosmos on Daily Galaxy intriguing and it might lead to a potential story idea though I’m not sure what form it will take and what the plot will be. It says there may be a source of common ethics for intelligent life forms.

Creative Penn: How to Grow Your Fiction Email List

I’ve recommended the Creative Penn website in the past and they’ve just posted a truly useful blog today called How to Grow Your Own Fiction Email List which I believe will be good for marketing for any traditional or indie writer. I plan to bookmark this blog since it has tips I plan to use when I start to get more of my work out there. I tend to think that there may be some people who undervalue email lists in favor of the more current social media platforms, but a good email list is often full of readers dedicated to your work and is less random and casual than the other mediums so it’s a good idea to build an email list. However, I need to build a body of published work before I can put the tips in this blog to the test.

Strategies for Combatting Online Piracy of Your Writing

I believe’s Rights, Copyright, Permissions & Plagiarism index is a particularly useful part of the site and deserved its own post. Its Plagiarism, Piracy and Infringement subsection has articles on combating online piracy of your work. Some of the articles include templates of letters that can be sent whenever your personal copyright is  infringed.
