Cathy Smith is a Mohawk writer who lives on a Status Reservation on the Canadian Side of the Border.

She is proud of her people’s heritage and also has an interest in the myths and legends of other peoples and cultures and modern fantasy and science fiction which is often derived from past myths and often acts as myths for modern times.

She has an English B.A. and other educational diplomas and certificates she has used to qualify for various day jobs she’d held throughout the years. Her knowledge of folklore, myths, history and legends is self taught, meaning she reads books as reference material on her own time, and reserves the pursuit of accredited courses of study for certifications that can be used in the contemporary job market.

She is working towards the goal of being a professional writer, and keeps abreast of current developments in the publishing field by following various online venues. Her sources often state that having an online presence is an important part of the modem writing business thus she has started this website after accumulating some publishing credits.
